As a British-Lebanese musician now residing in Marseille, Nadine Khouri draws inspiration from alternative folk, film soundtracks, and spoken-word poetry, creating a sound that resonates with the essence of the perennial outsider. Her debut album, The Salted Air, recorded in Bristol and produced by the legendary John Parish (known for his work with PJ Harvey), was acclaimed for its poetic meditations on themes of loss and displacement. MOJO hailed it as "A thing of dark possessed beauty,” while it earned accolades from Q as a Critics Choice and was selected as one of Rough Trade’s Albums of the Year.
