Operation Spöknät Skånska Kattegatt

Join us in making a difference in our marine environment! 🌍 In 2021 and 2022, GUE Sweden documented ghost nets at eleven wrecks in the protected marine reserve of Skånska Kattegatt. This year, we aim to take significant steps to clean these wrecks and explore the remaining sites.

Event Highlights:

• Activities planned over five weeks in July and August 2026.
• Focus on retrieving and documenting ghost nets while ensuring safety and efficiency considering weather conditions and diver experience.
• Three weeks of dives at a maximum depth of 30 meters using nitrox:
  • 18-25 July
  • 25 July - 1 August
  • 1-8 August
• Two weeks at around 40 meters using trimix for CCR divers:
  • 8-15 August
  • 15-22 August

Training: All divers will be offered retrieval training at the start of each week.

Requirements: GUE DPV1 certification is mandatory.
