The Plan
🥾 The Pedraforca (2,506m), is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia. Its particular shape with its 2 twin peaks (some says it has a heart shape) have given birth to many legends for centuries. The hike to the top of the Pedraforca has become one of the mythical excursions every mountaineer should do in Catalonia.

We'll do the hike from and back to the picturesque vilage of Gosol. Starting the ascent to Pedraforca from Gósol provides a quieter and often more solitary mountain experience, with fewer hikers on the trail and greater chances to spot wildlife. We'll ascend towards the shaded side of the Tossa range, passing through beautiful pine forests. We'll reach the ridge of the range and tackle the long uphill traverse to the Enforcadura. From this point, we make the final ascent to the summit of Pollegó Superior.

🚦Difficulty: High.
Appart from the gain of altitude, the climb from the Enforcadura to the summit of Pollegó Superior is quite challenging and may require using your hands on more than one occasion. However, there is no sense of exposure.
