Piel Island: Sunset Walk Across the Sands

Join us for an enchanting early evening walk to the magical Piel Island, guided by our expert local guides, John Irving and John Murphy.

💫 Experience the thrill of crossing the sands at low tide from Walney Island to Piel Island, with opportunities to explore the rich heritage, including Piel Castle, and the stunning nature the island has to offer. It promises to be a memorable adventure for everyone!

🍽️ Before returning, feel free to take some refreshments at The Ship Inn and watch as the sun sets beautifully on this breathtaking journey.

🕒 The entire event will last around 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on the pace of the participants and weather conditions. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the charity Morecambe Bay Partnership to support projects that enrich nature, heritage, and our communities.

👦👧 This event is suitable for children aged 6 and older. IMPORTANT: The walk is led by an expert guide. Please do not attempt to walk to Piel Island unaccompanied.
