AHEAD OF THE GAME (12-18yrs)

Attention Burra Parents - if your child is aged between 12-18 years. The Burras are hosting the ‘Ahead of the Game’ Program. This is delivered by the Western Bulldogs community foundation. Tuesday 28th of July Murtoa White House Starting at 5pm, the 90minute program will be followed by dinner. Please note: The AFL will email consent forms out to all parents. The program also covers the topics of suicide and self-harm. What will be covered: HELP OUT A MATEA mental health literacy workshop for young athletes. This workshop helps young athletes understand mental health, recognise common challenges, and take practical steps to support themselves and their teammates during tough times.THE CHALLENGE A resilience-focused workshop using The Challenge app. Players learn skills to identify and manage the challenges that sport and life can present, and explore healthy ways to build confidence, coping abilities, and long-term resilience.
