Beginner Bird Walk

Are you eager to explore the fascinating world of birds? Join us for a delightful outing aimed at beginner birders and those keen to enhance their bird-watching skills!

Our group will stroll along a scenic ~1.5-mile loop through Two Rivers Park. The paved trail will guide us over the Little Maumelle River, through vibrant pine woods, and alongside lush wetlands. With the help of two experienced leaders, you’ll learn essential skills like:

• How to effectively use binoculars 🔭
• Identifying birds using field marks 🎯
• Finding birds with habitat clues 🌳

This location is a prime birding spot in central Arkansas, famous for its swallows, herons, orioles, woodpeckers, and a variety of songbirds. All birders and nature lovers, regardless of skill level, are warmly welcomed!

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes 👟
• Water 💧
• Binoculars (a few pairs will be available to borrow)

Note: If using a maps app, set the address as Two Rivers Park Bridge to ensure you arrive at the correct entrance.

Access Notes:

• The parking lot includes ADA-compliant spaces and has restrooms and a water fountain.
• The paved trail is wheelchair accessible.
• Although benches are not evenly spaced, picnic tables will be available at our halfway point.
