Beginner-Friendly Lesson Series: Ballroomin' with Lindy & Brenda

Join us for an exciting lesson series tailored for those new to Blues dancing or eager to explore the Ballrooming' aspect! This program is designed to prepare you for the Ballroomin' music you'll enjoy at North Star Blues, especially with our lively Saturday bands!

Under the expert guidance of instructors Brenda Mora-Pallares and Lindy Bowen, you'll focus on Blues dances influenced by ballrooms, dance halls, and spacious urban venues, where you're free to let loose and dance elegantly! 🕺✨ These dances often intertwined with swing styles like Lindy Hop, connecting people to the vibrant dance scene of historical places such as Savoy in NYC, Graystone in Detroit, and Chicago Savoy.

Ballroomin' Blues dances are characterized by their graceful travel around the dance floor with added swing and sway. Classes take place at the North Dale Recreation Center dance studio, just a short 5-minute drive from The Blues Saloon, known for their free Blues jam every Tuesday until 11 PM. It’s an ideal venue to practice your new skills!
