Belonging is Power | Workshop Series
Pillar 2: Family & Community
Starting a new life in a different country may seem like a personal journey, but we are all interconnected. Whether it's finding a home, learning a language, or navigating a new job, our experiences are profoundly shaped by our families, friendships, and communities.
In this second workshop of our Belonging is Power series, we will explore how care and community play vital roles in our migration journeys. Let’s dive into the relationships that sustain us, the responsibilities we carry, and the support we need to create lives that resonate with our true selves.
Throughout the afternoon, we’ll engage in gentle movement, guided reflections, writing exercises, and facilitated group conversations in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
This session will be led by Carla Maria de Souza, founder of Project Tres. A dedicated social entrepreneur, Carla focuses on empowering migrant and local women through personal growth and financial autonomy. Having lived in Berlin for the past 8 years, she understands the complexities of the migration experience firsthand.
This workshop is tailored for migrant women and descendants who are building a life in Berlin. Whether you are new to the city or have been here for years, yourstory is welcomed here!
