Beyond Climate Tech: Scaling European Climate Solutions that Transform Industries
Climate Dialogues β 8th Session
Organized by: Inclimo Climate Tech and BStartup (Banco Sabadell)
Europe has entered a new phase of the climate transition. The question is no longer whether climate technologies work; many already do. The real challenge is scaling them fast enough to transform entire industries, reshape markets, and strengthen Europe's industrial competitiveness.
This closed-door session brings together leading climate venture investors and founders building category-defining companies for a candid conversation on what it takes to move from promising innovation to systemic transformation. The format is deliberately hands-on, built around two round tables tackling the sector's defining challenges:
Table 1 β The New Climate Capital Stack
How equity, venture debt, project finance, and public instruments must now work together to fund capital-intensive innovation; where the financing gap sits for first-of-a-kind industrial projects; and how regulation β from CBAM to the Clean Industrial Deal β is reshaping what gets underwritten. A frank conversation about deploying capital with conviction in a market that rewards substance over hype.
Table 2 β From Innovation to Industrial Leader
The technology mostly works; the hard part is building the companies that scale it. Most climate ventures fail for non-technical reasons β team, go-to-market, and the gap between a first pilot and a repeatable industrial contract. This table examines what separates the companies that cross it: the founder profile industrial transformation demands, the metrics that signal a pilot is becoming a business, and the realities of long sales cycles into sectors like cement, steel, and energy.
Rather than treating climate as a constraint, this conversation examines climate technology as one of Europe's greatest economic opportunities.
The evening closes with a curated round of startup pitches, connecting the capital in the room directly to the companies shaping the next decade β followed by a networking cocktail with drinks and finger food.
We'd love for you to be part of the conversation!
