Blacksmith 102: Advanced Beginner Class

Join us in the forge to refine your skills from Blacksmith 101! In this intermediate blacksmith class, our experienced instructor will share some invaluable tricks of the trade.

What You'll Create: You’ll craft your very own marshmallow fork to bring home!

What to Expect: - Practice forge safety and fire building

• Use traditional blacksmithing tools
• Safety equipment will be provided (gloves, ear, and eye protection)
• Raw materials for your project included

Important Details:

• Age Requirement: 18 and up only
• Prerequisite: Completion of Blandford's Blacksmith 101 within the last 3 years (2024, 2025, or 2026) is required to register.
• Cost: Non-Member: $130
• Pre-registration is essential: Online pre-registration closes at 12 pm the day before the program starts. In case of sell-out, register to be added to the waitlist at no charge!

Dress Code:

• Dress for the weather as our forge is in an unheated, drafty building.
• Long shirts, pants, and heavy-duty, closed-toe shoes are highly recommended.
• Non-synthetic clothing is suggested for protection against sparks. If you lack non-synthetic clothes, we can provide a leather apron.
• Don't forget to bring a water bottle!

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation requests received at least 7 days before the program are eligible for a 50% refund.
Full refunds are not available, and no refunds will be granted within 7 days of the class. Weather-related refunds are only issued in cases of severe conditions. If Blandford cancels due to severe weather, you can either transfer your registration or donate your fee.
