Bolero

Bolero – legendary music by Georges Bizet, Maurice Ravel, and Petr Hapka in the art of dance.

The program brings together four choreographies of contemporary dance theatre. The common theme of the entire evening is the human being – their character, inner world, relationships with other people, and their connection to the surrounding world. The musical score of two of the choreographies commemorates significant anniversaries of the world-renowned composers Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel. The evening also features the choreography Rozeznávám, set to music by Petr Hapka with lyrics by Michal Horáček, enriched with verses by Jaroslav Seifert, František Hrubín, and Vladimír Holan, recited by the actor Vladimír Javorský – a unique fusion of dance, music, and poetry.
