Fix it - Break It! Lamp Repair Workshop

🛠️ Want to build repair skills? Join us for a hands-on, introductory workshop where you'll learn the basics of lamp repair as a foundation for fixing electronics.

🌍 We'll discuss the current repair landscape, including the Right to Repair movement and California’s existing and upcoming laws.

🔧 Next, we’ll dive into lamp components, tools, & safety, and grasp circuit continuity through engaging activities.

🛠️ The bulk of the workshop will involve hands-on practice fixing a lamp — with an advanced step of adding a switch! Participants will leave with a deeper knowledge of lamps, circuits, and basic electronics repair skills, including using key tools like a wire stripper and a multimeter.

👩‍🔧 Led by Kimberley D.C. Schroder, founder of Nimble Repair, who is dedicated to making repairs easier and more accessible in the East Bay.
