You are just a vent of consciousness. It is difficult to admit this, as from childhood you have been taught otherwise. What wakes you up in the morning is not an alarm clock, nor the chirping of birds, nor even a ray of sunlight shining into your eyes through a hole in the blinds. Every morning, something kicks your consciousness, and you get up.
You go to the bathroom to wash yourself, to finally wake up and end the state between dream and a strange “reality.” What you live from and build on every day—your experiences, skills, emotional attachments to things and people—are only fragments of memories you hold to function.
If you think you know someone, you are mistaken. You don’t know anyone. It is impossible to truly know anyone. The only one you can possibly know is yourself.
You have a limited expiration date. Your flesh-and-bone shell lasts on average about 70 years. Seventy years alone with yourself, every day, 24 hours a day. To avoid going insane, you have to keep yourself occupied.
You start learning to walk, then you try school, and then some kind of job. These are the standards set by the same flesh-and-bone shells that were here before you.
Death itself is one of the reasons why we are all so mad. Each of us is rushing through time toward catastrophe, doing everything to keep our eyes closed to it.
But the thought of death can also give you courage. When you realize your time is limited, it is not so frightening to take risks.
Your greatest advantage is your freedom. As you strip away all your boundaries, you will realize that freedom is only a state of mind.
Come experience transcendence.
Come cross the boundaries of the ordinary.
Come expand your consciousness.
Come step out of everyday life.
Come free yourself from reality.
Come get lost to find yourself.
Come disrupt reality.
Come give space to imagination.
