Camp Guthrie: Literacy

Get ready for a summer filled with curiosity, creativity, and hands-on fun at Camp Guthrie! 🎉 Join us every Wednesday in July at 10 a.m. for this FREE series aimed at engaging kids through interactive learning.

Each week features a new theme, led by our local community partners, starting with an educational experience followed by a hands-on activity that encourages kids to learn by doing.

This week, the theme is Literacy, and we’re excited to present "Story Stones: Build a Story, One Rock at a Time". 🎨 Every child will paint a scene, character, or object onto a smooth stone. They will then arrange the stones in various orders to tell a story, either individually or as a group, crafting one big story together. This fun activity shows that stories can come from anywhere—even a handful of rocks! 🌟

Please remember, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
