About the event

We are convening NYC’s emerging “Centers of Gravity”: the organizations, communities, policy makers, accelerators, residencies, hacker houses, and founder ecosystems attracting exceptional young builders to New York.
The premise is simple: San Francisco has been custom built to attract the best founders and foster generational companies. NYC isn't, yet.
If NYC wants to produce more generational technology companies, it must become better at attracting exceptional young founders and connecting them into the communities, networks, and institutions that keep them building here.
We'll have a private tour of City Hall at 5:30 PM, followed by a discussion focused on identifying practical ways to strengthen New York’s position as a destination for the next generation of technology founders.
We'll hear from Councilwoman Virginia Maloney, Chair of the City Council’s Committee on Economic Development and formerly of Meta, and Steve Fulop, President & CEO of the Partnership for New York City, the City's premier business advocacy organization representing NYC's top CEOs.
This will be an active working session, not a panel. Bring ideas, examples, and perspectives from your own organizations and communities.
Light snacks and drinks provided.
