Daisy/Brownie STEM Marathon

Join LabSpace Robotics for an exciting three-day hands-on STEM marathon designed to demystify robotics and engineering! Emphasizing a "maker-first" approach, girls will learn through experience—creating real prototypes and coding with LEGO Spike sets using intuitive, icon-based programming.

What Will the Girls Create?

• Mechanical Engineering: Explore forces and energy by building a jumping leap-bot, engineering a functional extendo-hand tool from cardboard, and designing their very own custom board game from scratch!
• Robotics & Coding: Utilizing LEGO Spike, participants will construct their robotic creations and learn to communicate with them through code to tackle various tasks and creative challenges.

Badges Earned

This workshop is tailored to meet the requirements for four official Girl Scout badges, which will be presented at the end of the camp:

• Mechanical Engineering 1: Board Game Design Challenge for Daisies / Leap Bot Design Challenge for Brownies
• Robotics 1: What Robots Do / Programming Robots
• Robotics 2: How Robots Move / Designing Robots
• Coding for Good 1: Coding Basics

Registration Information

Spaces are limited to 16 participants to ensure each girl has her own LEGO kit and receives personalized instruction from our lead teachers. While the LEGO sets must remain at LabSpace, feel free to take plenty of pictures!
