Join us for DATELINE 2046, a groundbreaking workshop tailored for San Francisco high school students, focused on reimagining the future of youth third spaces! Collaborate with fellow visionaries to design vibrant places where young people can gather, create, and thrive.

What Awaits You:

  • Explore Artifacts from 2046: Discover intriguing fragments from two potential futures — one where youth spaces thrived and another where they failed.
  • Become a Detective: Piece together narratives of these futures and envision your ideal civic space in San Francisco.
  • Collaborative Mapping: Contribute to a massive 7x7 ft map, showcasing the existing and missing youth spaces throughout the city.
  • Prototype Design: Bring your ideas to life by designing your dream youth space, detailing its appearance, intended audience, and empowering stories.
  • Showcase Your Vision: Present your innovative ideas, engage in collaborative voting, and see your proposals transformed into actual civic artifacts!

Additional Information:

  • Participants: Free registration for youth (4:00–6:30 PM); a $50 stipend and refreshments are included!
  • Community Members: Join our reception from 6:30–8:00 PM.
