About the event

Sustainability work is getting harder. The data keeps darkening, the timelines keep shortening, and many of us sense that the dominant story of "green growth" is no longer enough. What if we let ourselves take that in fully — not as despair, but as an invitation to a deeper response?
This 2-hour workshop offers a first encounter with Deep Adaptation, the framework developed by Jem Bendell and the global DA community for navigating climate tragedy with honesty and care. Together we will:
Look soberly at where we actually are
Explore Bendell's 4Rs + R — Resilience, Relinquishment, Restoration, Reconciliation
Make space for the emotional reality of collapse awareness
Identify one aligned next step you can take in the coming month
The session is designed for people new to the topic as well as those already collapse-aware. It is held in a small, brave circle — not as a lecture. You will leave with the framework, a felt sense of what it asks of you, and pointers to ongoing community and support.
Agenda
18:30-19:00 Welcome & Where are we, really?
19:00-19:20 Introducing Deep Adaptation
19:20-20:10 Emotional Landscape & Inquiry
20:10-20:30 Closing Circle
Who is this for
Sustainability and climate professionals sensing the limits of current narratives

What you'll leave with
A clear understanding of the Deep Adaptation framework and its 4Rs + R
A felt sense that you are not alone in seeing what you see
