EA NYC Summer Hike!

Join our volunteer organizer Jacob for an exciting summer hike! 🌳 Let's connect with nature and enjoy the trails together.

Itinerary Overview:

• Meeting Point: Meet Jacob at Port Authority (south building, 40th St & 8th Ave), upstairs at gate 408. You can reach out to him via FB Messenger or at jacob.eliosoff@gmail.com.
• Departure: The Short Line bus leaves for Tuxedo, NY at 9:10 AM. Make sure to catch this bus!
• Arrival: Arrive at Rt 17 & Liberty Rd, Tuxedo, NY by 10:12 AM and walk to the trailhead.
• Trail: We'll be hiking the Wildcat Mountain Trail, a 4.2 miles ‘easy’ hike.
• Lunch Break: We’ll pause for a packed lunch around 1 PM.
• Return Trip: The bus departs back at 2:28 PM, arriving back at Port Authority by 3:33 PM.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable Shoes: Good traction and ankle support are recommended.
• Lunch, Snacks, and Water: There are no restaurants or stores along the route.
• Ticks Protection: Long pants tucked into your socks or repellant to stay safe. Don’t forget to inspect yourself after the hike!

Cost: The bus fare is $17.85 each way, totaling $35.70. Full-time nonprofit workers/students can ask for an EA NYC discount.
