Join us for a lively evening with Faculty Lounge, Des Moines' premier ten-piece, horn-driven, all-teacher, multi-hyphenated old-school funk band! 🌟 Founded in 2000 by David Maxwell, along with drummer Mark Stallman and guitarist Timm Pilcher, they quickly became a local sensation.

✨ Highlights of Faculty Lounge:

• Winners of the Polk City Battle of the Bands.
• Featured at iconic events like the Des Moines Arts Fest and Cedar Rapids Freedom Fest Balloon Glow.
• Known as "The Official Funk Band of Iowa" by former Iowa Governor Chet Culver.
• Opened for legends like George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and performed for audiences including Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Come groove with us every Thursday night from May to September in Valley Junction! The beverage garden in Railroad Park opens at 5:00 PM, with live music starting at 6:00 PM.
