For the fourth consecutive year, Weltmuseum Wien, together with Weltmuseum Wien Friends and Chuanmener, invites you to a vibrant celebration that transcends mere festivities. Dive into the UNESCO-recognized essence of Lunar New Year, focusing on core themes of family, peace, and social unity. Experience the joy of 'Shared Fortune' that connects us all! 🐎🐎🐎

Highlights of the Celebration!

🦁 Lion Dance Awakening: Experience the exhilarating initiation ceremony and enjoy two electrifying performances by the Austrian Wushu Federation.
💃 Cultural Performances: Savor enchanting dances and stories from the diverse Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean communities of Vienna, featuring the Waist Drum and Yangge folk dances.
😄 Interactive Fun: Engage in our exciting "Crashcourses" – learn the Lion Dance (for kids), Yangge dance, or master the "Horse Stance" and Tai Chi.
✍️ Calligraphy Workshop: Write and take home your own "Fú" (Fortune) character.
🧑‍🏫 Knowledge Tour: Join a special curator-led tour of the East Asia collection at 16:30.
🧧 Dress to Impress: Put on your finest traditional attire — be it Hanfu, Qipao, Ao dài, Hanbok, or other cultural outfits. Dirndls and lederhosen are also warmly welcomed! A touch of red brings good luck to all!✨
