About the event

Explore the enchanting transformation of demolished city buildings into an artful landscape at Guild Park! 🏛️ Dive deep into Toronto's architectural history as we encounter remnants of the city’s past skyline, where majestic banks and ornate office structures once reigned.

🚧 Rescued from wasteyards, debris from buildings torn down in the early to mid-20th century finds a new lease on life at Guild Park. As we stroll through, you'll discover:

  • Carved red sandstone panels from the iconic Temple Building, once the tallest in the British Empire.
  • Intricate stone panels and parapets from an Art Deco office tower that housed the Toronto Star.
  • Remarkable parts of two grand banks that once graced the corner of King and Bay Street: the Bank of Montreal and the Bank of Toronto.

🧩 Join us in piecing together the story of a lost Toronto as we wander through this unique park!
