Free flat-shoe tango practica at the Hillside Club with DJ Una

Join us for a free Argentine tango practica at the Hillside Club in Berkeley! Enjoy the music with DJ Una while dancing on our beautiful wooden floor. No stiletto heels, please!

👟 What to Wear:

• Flat dance shoes
• Low, thick heels (like character shoes or west-coast swing shoes)
• Socks or sneakers are fine too!

🌈 Event Details:

• Location: 2286 Cedar St, Berkeley, CA 94709
• This is a queer-friendly event—everyone is welcome to lead and follow!
• All ages are welcome. Please bring your water bottles!
• BYOB: Beer and wine only. No hard alcohol.
• There will be a tip jar (and Venmo code) to support our amazing DJ.

🕺 For Beginners:

• No dance class at this event, but beginners are encouraged to practice!
• Look around at the room for someone making eye contact, especially at the start of a song—this is called the cabeceo. A nod can initiate a dance.
• You can also ask, "Would you like to dance?"
