From Vision to Value:How Ideas Become Art, Careers, and Creative Practice

From Vision to Value:How Ideas Become Art, Careers, and Creative Practice

About the event

What happens after the artwork is finished?

Behind every exhibition is a network of artists, producers, curators, gallery founders, and creative professionals who transform ideas into projects, collaborations, and lasting careers.

Join us for an afternoon of conversation with four NYC-based creatives working across visual art, gallery leadership, theater production, and content creation. Together, we'll explore how creative practices evolve into sustainable careers, the realities of working in the arts, and the many paths that exist within today's creative industry.

Whether you're an artist, student, creative professional, or simply curious about how the art world works, this conversation offers an opportunity to hear honest stories, ask questions, and connect with people shaping New York's creative community.

Following the panel, guests are invited to enjoy drinks and continue the afternoon with Slow Looking & Conversations—a guided gallery experience designed to encourage deeper engagement with the exhibition and meaningful conversations inspired by the artworks.

Rather than networking through job titles, we invite you to start with a single artwork.
