Carved directly into Helsinki’s bedrock, Temppeliaukio Church feels less constructed than discovered. Capped by a copper dome resting like a crash-landed vessel in the stone, the 1969 structure seals a subterranean chamber where light filters down and sound moves across exposed granite, returning dense and clear.
