How To Play Computer #1 : Free Classes By Myfi Studio

This summer, MyFi Studio and Churchill’s partner to host free classes for the public to learn HOW TO PLAY COMPUTER. On Wednesday July 1 and Wednesday July 8, MyFi Studio open their desktop to teach real skills for real art.

MyFi Studio believes art supplies should be a public good. This new series of classes in Churchill’s will teach the Miami community how to transform a computer into custom tools for art, and to think deeply about electronic aesthetics. The classes are free and open to the public. MyFi has always shared their tools with the internet. Now MyFi teaches you how to make your own tools.

MyFi Studio is an artist duo featuring Aimee Rubensteen and Dr. Josh Eisenberg. Eisenberg brings his expertise in Computer Science, AI, and Music; Rubensteen brings her experience in Art History, curating, and performance to the practice. The husband and wife duo build their own electronic music and video instruments for their site-specific performances. Over the last year, MyFi performed “Look Over Here” as four sets in Miami’s 67-ft Planetarium Dome in the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, and they debuted “tie the knot” at Filmfest Akizuki in Japan. The Miami-based artists work with an open-kitchen concept: audiences experience MyFi’s tools in real time and go home with art supplies to make art on their own devices.

HOW TO PLAY COMPUTER presents weekly classes starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 6:30-9:30pm. The first class is about 'Default + Preset Culture.' The second class on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 6:30-9:30pm is about 'How to Make Art Supplies.' Subsequent classes will be announced later this summer.
