Immigrant city builder - Meet and Greet

Urban planners are storytellers. So why don't we focus on ours first?

Who Should Come:

If you are an immigrant city builder - an architect, planner, designer, engineer, or newcomer urbanist still figuring out where you fit - this is your space. Whether you've been in Toronto for six months or six years, if you are rebuilding your professional identity in a new country, you belong here.

What This Is:

Our first ever Meet and Greet, an evening symbolizing a verandah - that in-between space where you are neither fully inside nor outside, where we gather to share our stories with fresh eyes on this city.

Food is available for purchase at Society Clubhouse. The evening moves through a shared journey through art, naming who we are and what is still to come.

• A chat between Mars and Shreya, and an introduction to the collective.
• Then it's your turn - telling your story, sharing a picture, naming a goal, and putting on paper the resources you are already carrying.
• Reflection circles, where we process the transition together instead of alone.

This is the verandah, built for one night - so you can feel what the whole collective is trying to be, and then meet the people building it.

No suits. No performative anxiety. Just come as you are.
