Join us for a day filled with traditional family fun as we celebrate our nation’s independence! Visit Historic Richmond Town for special programming and events that bring the past to life.

✨ Meet costumed interpreters portraying our founding fathers and mothers, and don’t miss your chance to sign your name on a copy of the Declaration of Independence!

🎇 Enjoy fascinating demonstrations of 19th-century fireworks, indulge in tasty food, and sway to patriotic music!

📜 Experience engaging living history demonstrations in village houses and shops, including hearth cooking in the Guyon-Lake-Tysen House, blacksmithing, and crafts at the Carpenter’s Shop.

⚔️ Step into the Revolutionary War encampment, where living historians will invite you to sign loyalty oaths to the King. As a true patriot, you can join us at the General Store to formally sign the Declaration of Independence.

🗣️ On the steps of the 3rd County Courthouse, witness the Declaration being read aloud, preceded by a festive parade!
