Their works revolve around scenes that depict not only what is present, but also what is absent — places where human presence was once self-evident, but has since withdrawn, leaving behind an echo.Melanie Wiksell is a Cyprus-born, Sweden-based visual artist whose practice explores themes of death, mourning, and cultural memory. Working through digital and physical collage, he brings together references from art history and fragments of contemporary image culture, creating compositions where different temporalities coexist.
