Why the name 'Jackies'?
Many are curious about our name's origin. "Jackies" comes from the iconic phrase "Jack Your Body," popularized by Steve “Silk” Hurley's track released in 1986. This song is a cornerstone of house music history, introducing the term “Jack” which signifies the energetic dance style and the exhilaration felt while grooving to the music. Initially a hit in Chicago’s nightclubs, it soon climbed to number one in the UK in 1987 and echoed across Europe!
