Lavender Glow | Queer Art & Our Shared History

Join us for Lavender Glow, a captivating 2-part exhibition that showcases Nevada County’s rich queer history alongside stunning 2D and 3D artworks from talented local LGBTQ+ artists. This remarkable collaboration between Nevada County Arts & Culture and Nevada County Pride brings to life the experiences and legacies of queer individuals and groups.

Guided by the Queer Community Advisory and Artwork Selection Committees, Lavender Glow not only highlights local history but also features 44 amazing artworks selected from 127 submissions. The exhibition begins with the Nisenan history and journeys through time to celebrate the profound contributions of the queer community to arts and culture.
