Lit Walk: Memories, Dreams, Reflections [EN]
“Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future, and time future contained in time past.” — T. S. Eliot, Burnt Norton
In this edition of the Lit Walk, we explore the unstable nature of memory. What remains of the past when it dissolves into memory? How do individual events transform through recall? What stories do our half-remembered spaces — rooms, streets, landscapes — tell?
Bring along a poem, story, essay, diary entry, letter, translation, fragment, or other literary artifact to share aloud. While reading from a printed text is encouraged, reading from a phone is also acceptable. If you prefer to just listen, that’s perfectly fine too!
Participants can contribute a short original piece for a small paper zine/pamphlet related to the walk. Poems, recollections, drawings, maps, photographs, and handwritten notes are all welcome. Contributions should ideally fit on one page and may be published under your name, a chosen name, or anonymously.
The zine will collect traces rather than document the event: remembered rooms, altered streets, uncertain images, and places that may now exist only in memory.
📍 Meeting Point: in front of Restauracja Rozdroże 1974. The walk will begin at 14:10.
A limited amount of coffee and wine will be served from a thermos, free of charge.
Free event. Conducted in English.
Texts in other languages are welcome, but please bring an English translation.
