Cast in the grand tradition of British rock, infused with American blues, funk, and soul, this event marks a pivotal moment following the band's return after the passing of drummer Virgil Howe. With over two decades of musical evolution, Little Barrie continues to be a significant force in UK psychedelic rock and soul.

Having overcome challenges during the pandemic, founding members Troy Cadogan and bassist Lewis Wharton teamed up with their friend Malcolm Catto (of The Heliocentrics) to create two compelling albums: Quatermass Seven (2020) and Electric War (2025). Their new release, Gravity Freeze, features sharper hooks, deeper grooves, and atmospheric layers that reflect on the band's journey.

Cadogan describes the title track as inspired by the eerie sensation of sleep paralysis, blending personal experiences into the music. Recorded at Rat Salad Studios in North London, this album captures a DIY spirit with unique sounds.
