Love Letters to the Future: An Experiment in Collective Imagination
What does the future of San Francisco look like? Who does it belong to? Join us in this engaging workshop where we will dream and write a future into existence for a San Francisco where everyone belongs. ✨ Through writing and collaging, participants will connect across generations and share the gift of imagination. By drawing on the wisdom of Afrofuturism and Black feminism, we aim to nurture creative minds and open hearts as we co-vision a liberatory future for our beloved city and practice care in our present.
This workshop is part of the Future of Us Festival, a vibrant 10-day celebration of civic imagination, launching on America's 250th anniversary. 🎉 With over 100 events scattered across the city—like floral labyrinths, speculative futures, and purposeful dance parties—this festival is a living exploration of what a more creative community culture could feel like.
