Colombian artist Lucrecia Dalt arrives in a new chapter — one marked by poetic clarity and sonic intimacy, forged in collaboration with legendary musician and co-producer David Sylvian.
Originally trained as a geotechnical engineer, Dalt made a remarkable leap into avant-garde composition, spending the last decade weaving together narrative, memory, and abstraction into deeply personal sonic worlds. Her journey spans early surrealist electronics — Commotus and Syzygy — through to a celebrated trilogy on RVNG Intl.: Anticlines, No era sólida, and ¡Ay! — effortlessly navigating between the cerebral and the deeply emotional.
Rather than relying on conventional hooks or melodies, her music operates through pressure points: dense bass pulses, fractured rhythms, and vocal presences that hover somewhere between invocation and inner monologue.
Co-produced with David Sylvian, this record finds Dalt at her most open and direct — yet no less enigmatic. Featuring contributions from Juana Molina, Camille Mandoki, and Eliana Joy, the album weaves skeletal beats together with lush instrumentation and reflective lyricism. It's an inward gaze that reveals multitudes: romantic fragility, existential unrest, and quiet radical wonder.
Dalt's unique sonic vocabulary — eerie, tactile, and quietly radical — has also found a natural home in film and television, with credits including The Baby, On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, and The Rabbit Hole. Whether scoring psychological undercurrents or conjuring imaginary languages, her music resists linearity, offering instead a space to dwell, to feel, and to deconstruct.
