McGregor Stonelifting Games At the Clanlander Gathering

🎉 Join us for the inaugural McGregor Stonelifting Championship at the Clanlander Gathering! This thrilling natural stonelifting event will run alongside an exciting lineup of activities, including:

🏹 Archery
🪓 Axe Throwing
⚔️ Jacobite and Hanoverian Battle Reenactments
🎨 Face Painting
🍻 Bar with Alcoholic Beverages

This unique competition features a mixed pairs format, welcoming both novice and open athletes. With only 10 pairs accepted, the entry fee is £50 per person. Don't miss your chance to showcase your strength!

• Dress Code: Kilts are required (face paint is optional).

Events Overview:
1️⃣ Point Accumulator: 2 minutes per athlete

• Points: Wind (1), Lap (3), Chest (6), Shoulder (10), Press (14)
• Men Novice (100kg), Open (124kg)
• Women Novice (60kg), Open (75kg)

2️⃣ 15m Duckwalk:

• Women: 85kg
• Men: 120kg
• Open: 95kg
• Novice: 84kg
• Timed event

3️⃣ Overhead Stone Putt:

• Two throws per athlete; total distance counted.

4️⃣ Husafell Tag Team:

• 30m walk with a 15m course, tag a partner
• Men: 140kg, Women: 90kg
• Opens from floor; novice keg

5️⃣ The Mathews Stones:

• 20m with a turn at 10m
• 103kg stone attached to a 66kg stone
• Timed event with alternating lifts between male and female participants.
