No Edges: Figure Drawing in Flow

Water does not hold its shape. It takes the form of whatever contains it - still in a pond, rushing in a river, boundless in the ocean.
No Edges is a chaosmos experience in collaboration with inresonance, bringing together live figure drawing, somatic movement, and sensory immersion at Primal Moves.
Created by Chao Dou and Sofia Hagen, the evening moves through three sessions, each one asking you to let go a little more.

Pond - Still. Slower poses, longer sketches.
River - Moving. Poses shorten, the body shifts.
Ocean - Current. The fastest and most gestural session. Multiple poses, full body movement.
Running alongside the live figure drawing, Sofia offers 1:1 reset sessions with ergonomic, organic furniture 3D printed from hemp and sugar, shaped like water. Each session follows the same three tiers: pond is sound, river is touch, ocean is movement flow, developed by former Cirque du Soleil artist Silke Grabinger. The live drawing experience is the main event. The reset sessions are a deeper layer for those who want it.

Chao Dou is an experience architect, embodiment facilitator and artist. Raised between China, the United States, and Singapore, she grew up watching her grandfather run a free healing center in China - where healing began with the body.
With over a decade of architecture, interior design, and workplace strategy across those same three countries, she brings a rare understanding of how environment, culture and body shape each other.
Her practice chaosmos creates playgrounds for rediscovering your body, creativity, and sense of aliveness - through multisensory experiences that blend movement, intuition, art, and collective play. Guided by the belief that 'knowledge is only a rumor until it lives in the body', she designs spaces where the thinking mind and the sensing body meet.

London-based architect and designer Sofia Hagen leads an award-winning creative practice at the intersection of art, design, technology, and wellness innovation. Her work blends recycled bio-materials with advanced 3D printing technologies to create ergonomic, organic products and interactive installations that support physical, mental, and sensory wellbeing.
Alongside her design practice she is the co-founder of INRESONANCE, a platform exploring how spatial design, sound, movement, and sensory experience can support performance, recovery, and nervous system regulation. Her work has been completed internationally across London, Milan, Mexico City, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dubai.

Primal Moves
Please arrive early to allow time for check-in.
Parking in the neighborhood is VERY limited, so please allow extra time to park respectfully and do not block neighboring homes or driveways.
Princeton, Thatcher, Berkeley, Del Rey are free street parking.
Triple check all street signs to avoid tickets and towing. Carpooling, rideshare, biking, and walking are always encouraged.
Primal Moves is a shoes off facility, please remove your shoes and keep them off until you are ready to exit back into the default world. Pets are not permitted inside the facility, please leave them at home. Thank you for helping us keep the space clean, welcoming, and considerate for both our community and our neighbors.....
