Get ready for...- An Arts & Crafts Market- Creative Experiences- Community Group Tabling- Free Samples & Discounts- Gift Card Giveaways- Al fresco DiningFree and open to the public!Open Streets are a nationwide movement to encourage healthy activities such as walking and biking and the use of streets for outdoor dining, shopping, activities, and more. Lowell had its first in 2025, and DIY Lowell is bringing it back! Our goal is to support downtown businesses while showing all we can do besides making room for cars on our streets.We heard the feedback: Folks want more activities, food, and music! New features we’re working on are pop-up art inspired by local businesses, an interactive “Lowell’s largest quilt” experience, a poetry walk, live music all afternoon, and business partnerships for more al fresco dining options.We’re currently finalizing these possible elements.
