Paint and Sip: Art and Technology

You are invited to an informal evening of painting, discussion, dinner, and a group art project — hosted by Jolie Gan and Selena Yang.

Art and technology used to be much more entangled than they are now — think Bell Labs engineers building sculptures with physicists, or the Cybernetic Serendipity crowd.

What happens now when we get technologists, scientists, artists, and founders to co-imagine together?

Here's how the paint night will unfold:

1. Class: Selena will teach the basics of painting with Chinese watercolor.
2. Creative Activity: You'll be provided tiles to paint about your passion.
3. Collaboration: We will connect our tiles like a puzzle, forming a collective artwork.

Expect open discussions on the history of art and tech, and explore how they might again intersect. By the end of the night, you'll leave with a tangible artifact of our collaboration and a deeper appreciation for the beautiful relationship between art and science.
