About the event

Join us for a day of exploration and education at the UAF experiment fields! Farmers, gardeners, and community members are invited to:

  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ”ฌ Tour the research farm
  • ๐ŸŽค Attend insightful talks by researchers on:
    • Feeding livestock in Alaska
    • Using kelp as a soil amendment
    • Small grain breeding research
    • Land use, permafrost, and our soils
    • Managing root maggots with nematodes
    • Mitigating herbicides in soils using biochar
    • Establishing mixed perennial plant communities

Learn through presentations, tours, and discussions. A map and schedule will be available to guide you through the event.

Important Details:

  • Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk up to a mile.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No dogs allowed.
