Pop Choir Rehearsal Sydney - Lane Cove

Come and be part of the choir that joy built! 🎶 Singing in Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, the Hunter Region, and online since 2010, we are an all-inclusive community choir on a mission to get everyone singing in a fun and funky space. Our repertoire features a fantastic mix of pop, soul, and gospel songs that you'll love, and our audiences will enjoy!

Our rehearsals are judgment-free zones where anyone can sing, regardless of experience or ability. From teachers and electricians to retirees and students, our diverse members often bring their families along, making it a wonderful way to connect! A majority of our members have little to no musical experience, yet we focus on creating an easy-going and enjoyable environment.

No auditions, no music reading required! We teach all our songs by ear, and we provide lyrics and additional resources for those who want to practice at home. Our songs are generally pop hits from various eras, with a tasty mix of gospel, Motown, and soul.

🌟 Rehearsal Experience

Directed by Virginia Stack, Soul Song Sydney - North Ryde meets on Monday evenings. We kick off at 7 PM, with doors open from 6:30 PM for a warm welcome and setup. Rehearsals last until 9 PM, and fellow members often gather at Longueville Hotel afterward for drinks and socializing.

Each rehearsal focuses on building vocal techniques and working on our repertoire, while keeping it fresh and engaging. We support our members with resources, including recordings, online rehearsals, audio learning tracks, and more, making it easy to catch up if you miss a session.

Your first rehearsal is FREE—experience it without commitment! Afterward, membership options include term payments ($205 standard or $133 concession/under 30s) or a weekly subscription ($18 standard or $12 concession/under 30s). Concession prices are available for students, pensioners, and under 30s.

Once you sign up, you'll receive a member pack with a lyric book and access to all the necessary resources. Just bring along some water, a highlighter, pen or pencil, your lyric book, and don’t forget your glasses! 🕶️
