Queer History in Racine (250 years: the untold story)

Join us for an enlightening program presented in collaboration with Racine Public Library as part of America 250! Dive deep into the rich history and significant impact of LGBTQ+ communities in Racine.

🌟 Led by longtime resident and community leader Carl Hubbard, this session brings over 50 years of insights from his extensive experience in Racine. Carl will share stories from his work with local organizations like the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin and discuss his involvement in developing Safe Zone Training programs to promote LGBTQ+ education and inclusion across businesses, faith communities, and nonprofits.

This session emphasizes the importance of preserving and sharing local queer history as a vital part of our community narrative.
