Launch of the 2026 Indicators of Global Climate Change with UK Climate Minister Katie White
📍 William Sangster Room, Central Hall Westminster
🗓 Wednesday 24 June, 9.00–11.00
Join us for the launch of the 2026 Indicators of Global Climate Change (IGCC) — the annual scientific pulse-check on the state of our climate, tracking the key indicators that show how fast the planet is changing between IPCC assessments. This year’s report shows that Earth's Energy Imbalance (EEI) – the gap between the energy reaching us from the sun and the energy the Earth manages to radiate back out to space – has more than doubled in two decades.
The morning features headline findings from the report, a ministerial response, and a panel discussion bringing the science into the realm of policy — moving the conversation from the carbon budget to the rate at which Earth is gaining heat.
