Respect to the Ancestors free community ecstatic dance event

Join us for a heart-opening evening of movement, connection, and reverence at Respect to the Ancestors, a unique Ecstatic Dance gathering in Sarasota, guided by DJ Kat. Set within the enchanting Lime Light Community Garden, this experience invites you to honor those who came before us while fully embodying the present moment through dance.

We begin the evening at 6:00 PM with a gentle exploration of the garden—an opportunity to arrive, ground, and connect with the land and each other. At 6:30 PM, DJ Kat will take you on an intentional musical journey through Ecstatic Dance, weaving rhythms and sounds that inspire freedom, expression, and deep presence.

As the sun sets and the dance completes, we come together at 8:00 PM to break bread in community—sharing nourishment, stories, and integration. The evening closes with a soulful drum circle, inviting collective rhythm and celebration as we honor the ancestors and the cycles of life.

This is a free admission event, open to all who feel called to move, connect, and remember.
