Rhythm AI
Join us for Rhythm AI, a groundbreaking artwork performed by a large language model (LLM) showcased on 5 iPads! 🌟
This immersive experience invites the audience to engage physically with the LLM using a variety of objects, including a flower, a hammer, and even a taser, challenging traditional notions of agency in art and technology. This performance reinterprets Marina Abramovic’s iconic Rhythm 0 (1974), addressing themes of gender, violence, and objectification.
Performed by:
✨ Angelina Almukhametova: A US-based artist originally from Kazan, Russia, investigating cybernetics and techno-culture through innovative digital and analog methodologies. Her indeterminate systems manifest as performances and installations, gaining recognition across Europe and the US.
✨ Dann Disciglio: A transdisciplinary artist whose work intertwines the biological and computational. Creating installations that engage with non-humans as equal interlocutors, he challenges conventional assumptions about perception and agency. Currently, he serves as Visiting Professor of Art & Technology at Lewis & Clark College.
This event aligns with our latest exhibition, The Epistemologies of Slop, which delves into how meaning, trust, and culture are shaped in an age of algorithmic excess and generative media. 🔍
