Rijks Alumni Meetup #10 - Summer gathering & Alumni project opening

Dear all,

We are thrilled to invite you to the 10th Alumni Meet-up! Join us for a delightful summer gathering on June 25th from 16:00–20:00 at Project Space South and the surrounding garden. Enjoy drinks and bites, and get ready for an outdoor dinner around 18:00 (the weather forecast looks promising! 🌤️).

This summer event unites residents, alumni, and friends to celebrate the outcomes of an exciting artistic exchange happening from June 15 to June 25. A group of talented alumni will be collaborating in Project Space South, engaging in a dynamic conversation and material exploration. Every day, a duo or more of artists will share the space, creating and installing in a collaborative dialogue. This creative exchange may also include research elements, allowing flexibility in how the space is utilized to aid their creative processes.

The artworks from each day will remain in the space, while new artists build upon the previous day's outcomes. There will be opportunities for overlap and extended processes as necessary, with the exchange open for residents, the team, and the artists’ children to visit and share. By the end of these 10 days, the room will be filled with diverse expressions and ideas!

Our aim is to foster deeper conversations, create a playful environment, and spark curiosity for the unknown. This event is part of our alumni program's mission to cultivate community among current residents, alumni, and their networks while testing new formats that can nurture friendships, connections, and dialogues extending beyond the Akademie.
