✦ RISO 101: Introduction to Risograph Printing ✦

RISO 101 is a beginner-friendly workshop introducing the basics of Risograph printing , a vibrant and playful printing process somewhere between screen printing and photocopying.
In this workshop, participants will learn:
✦ how the Risograph machine works
✦ basic color separation
✦ how to prepare artwork for RISO
✦ how to print and layer colors on the machine
During the session, participants will create and print their own 2-color Risograph artwork directly from a laptop.
You are welcome to bring black-and-white drawings, photos, collages, or digital files to experiment with ✶
No prior experience needed — this workshop is open to artists, designers, writers, and anyone curious about print and independent publishing.
✦ Please note: Completion of this workshop (or prior Risograph experience elsewhere) is required before joining the Now Place RISO membership studio.
Participants will leave with a 20-30 copy of their own prints ✷
