Great tools shape the future of science, enabling researchers to tackle previously inconceivable questions. Unfortunately, many still struggle with outdated, clunky tools. We believe this is a design challenge that can be solved through teamwork and innovation.

Every weekend, designers, engineers, and scientists come together at the Science Works office to create new, beautiful, and powerful tools for science. Participants bring real-world challenges, and together, we build solutions on the spot.

Expect a dynamic environment with no talks or panels—just hands-on making! Collaborate with an eclectic mix of professionals:

• An industrial designer reworking wet lab layouts
• A typographer designing figures for new data formats
• A PI teaming up with a frontend developer to enhance scientific collaboration

Mentors will be available to assist when you hit a wall. Lunch and coffee are on us! ☕🍽️
