About the event

Join the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association for the Canada Day Celebration! šŸŽ‰ This year, we're excited to announce that our event has nearly doubled in scale and scope compared to previous years. Here's what to expect:

šŸ•š Entertainment all day: From 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM!

šŸ‘¦ Kid's Zone: Expanded and open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM!

  • šŸ‘• T-shirt painting (kids' shirts are free while supplies last)
  • šŸŽØ Face painting
  • šŸ–Œļø Henna and tattoo artists
  • šŸ§‘ā€šŸŽØ Caricature artist
  • šŸ“ø Photo booth, and more!

šŸ° Special Treats: Don't miss the unveiling of our Canadian flag cakes at 1:00 PM at the main stage, plus an open invitation to the BBQ hosted by St. James Cathedral.

šŸ‘„ Community Engagement: Meet local representatives from all three levels of government, along with SLNA Board members and experts on development, heritage, and waste reduction.

šŸŽ¶ Entertainment Schedule:

Performances take place on the stage of the Michael Comstock Pavilion:

  • 11:10 - Bruce Bell - Local Historian
  • 11:30 - Ensemble Topaz – South Asian Dance
  • 12:00 - Smile Serenades - Music from Smile Theatre Performers
  • 1:00 - Dereck Ayum - Steelpan Artist
  • 2:00 - Alan Cohen - Local Jazz Quartet
  • 3:00 - Red Rhythm & Blues - Indigenous Indigiblues Band
  • 4:00 - Danny Marks - Iconic Toronto Rocker and Bluesman
  • 6:00 - Program Ends

šŸ‘ Donations & Food Drive:
Help us support our community! Cash donations and non-perishable food items will be accepted at the SLNA tent and the Kid's Zone tent throughout the event. You can also donate via e-transfer to Treasurer@slna.ca. Charitable receipts available.
