Studio Kokyu: Trinity – The Letter

The performance Trinity – The Letter is based on long-term research into the body, the voice, and their relationship to space and architecture. It draws inspiration from the ancient Hymn of the Pearl—a story of forgetting and rediscovering one’s own path. The performers enter a shared space with the audience and, through precisely structured actions and vocal compositions, create situations that unfold in direct contact with the venue and those present. Sound, breath, and voice transform the theater into a living resonant instrument, resulting in an intimate encounter where attention shifts to detail, rhythm, and what is happening here and now.
